In our Geriatric Clinic, we offer services for all chronic and acute health problems of adults age 60 and older including:

  • Geriatric cardiology:medical management of the geriatric syndrome of aging – heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, valvular and coronary artery disease
  • Geriatric psychiatry:focus on depression, anxiety, adjustment disorder, delirium and dementia-related psychosis such as behavior disturbances, hallucinations and paranoia
  • Memory evaluation:assessing complaints of cognitive changes or decline
  • Anticoagulation clinic:treating patients on long- or short- term anticoagulation therapy
  • Interdisciplinary anticoagulation clinic:adults aged 60 and older seen on consult from other departments
  • Geriatric gastroenterology:issues of weight loss, abdominal pain and changes in bowel function
  • Geriatric polypharmacy:medical review of complex medications/drugs being prescribed or taken by elderly patient
  • Physical medicine and rehabilitation:services for older adults with walking (gait) disorders, frequent falls, joint pain and deconditioning
  • Rheumatology:treatment of inflammatory arthritis and autoimmune disorders
  • Geriatric neuropsychology:for elderly patients who require behavioral management and/or neuropsychological testing for cognitive complaints
  • Neurology:evaluation and treatment of patients with cerebral vascular disorders, brain tumors, Parkinson’s disease, tremors and other brain disorders
  • Psychology:evaluation and treatment of the emotional issues of aging and loss
  • Social work:services for issues of caregiver strain, transportation, unmet social needs, abuse and neglect concerns
